Child Mental health Respite Provider

We have multiple children waiting for Respite Providers. We are flexible with how we schedule respite. You can take one child every other weekend for $1100 per month OR two children and work every weekend for $2200 per month. Some families want fewer hours and this can be worked out at the time of hire or with the child’s family. This work is typically very laid back. It is not skill or goal teaching. It is providing a home-like setting. The children are in Oskaloosa, Albia, and Ottumwa, but we cover mileage for picking up/drop off. Kids can stay with a provider for years once a working relationship is established. The co-founders started Happy Home Services by taking in CMH children for years. Full-time positions at Happy Home Services receive a sign-on bonus of $1,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Our Community HAB program offers employees the flexibility in scheduling that many desire, with no weekend commitments required. The full-time HAB House work schedule is conveniently set at just three days per week. There are numerous benefits to working for Happy Home Services!

What You'll Do:

  • Keep an eye on your hours and help us stay in compliance with service documentation.

  • Safely transport our amazing members.

  • Attend informative meetings and training sessions (virtual or in-person) to keep growing!

  • Help members reach their personal goals while having a blast.

What We're Looking For:

  • A high school diploma (bonus points for some college!).

  • A valid driver's license and auto insurance are must-haves.

  • Experience in the mental health/caregiving field is essential.

  • Willingness to learn—24 hours of training in your first year, and just 12 hours each year after that!

  • Basic computer skills to help you communicate and document!
